Customer criteria
We evaluate managers with the same criteria used by investors and consultants.
We are looking for highly-motivated and talented teams with the corresponding experience, who are capable of implementing their investment strategy successfully and communicating it.
Successful strategies are characterised by a well-defined investment philosophy, processes and risk control. The track record should be based on a long-term and identifiable Alpha. Ideally, there should already be investment vehicles available which are suitable for target investors. The strategy should have managed assets of at least CHF 50 million (AuM) and offer additional capacity for significant placements (CHF 300 million).
We prefer asset managers with a proven and trusted organisation and robust infrastructure, for whom investment performance also has the highest priority. As required by the law and institutional investors, appropriate standards for ethics and compliance must be adhered to. We expect the company to understand and appreciate the commercial strategy. Even talented managers are only discovered by investors through targeted marketing.
